I’ve been excited for the upcoming women’s conference. Maybe that excitement is partially because I will have the kids to myself for a few days while my wife is away, which means meals of pizza and chicken nuggets. Dad time can be fun! I’ve also heard the team behind the conference talk about their hopes and expectations and prayers for it, and I’m excited to see the fruit of their labors. I’ll also say that I’ve seen Maggie’s great effort in preparation for teaching, and I’m excited to see how God blesses that. More than anything, though, I’m excited to see how it benefits our church as a whole – both for those who attend and those who don’t. I’m anticipating that relationships will be built, women will be encouraged, and that this will have a multiplying effect throughout our congregation. So I would ask all to join me in prayer for next weekend, even if you won’t or can’t attend. My anticipation is that we will all benefit whenever a few of us are strengthened.
