The purpose of 242 Groups is essentially “fellowship around the Word.” They exist for the people of CBC to build relational connections, new and old, that are centered on Jesus Christ and His gospel.
They take place at various times and locations, with slightly different emphases. Groups are led by faithful members of CBC, and overseen by our elders and deacons. Whichever 242 Group you choose will determine your designated elder and deacon at CBC. While all of the church and its staff, pastors/elders, deacons, and leaders will seek to serve you, these elders and deacons will be tasked specifically to care for you and your family. Also, 242 Groups are the primary contexts in which CBC members care for one another. We hope, for your spiritual health and encouragement, that you will consider belonging to a 242 Group this season.

This group will meet twice a month on Sunday evenings and will grow together in the Lord through discussion and prayer. When we meet, we will together determine a plan for discussion topics (and snacks)! This group will be for adults only, and space will be limited!

We plan to meet and fellowship together, spending time in both the Word and in prayer, and seeking to grow together as disciples. There will be snacks, and childcare will not be provided.

We plan to share a meal each week and share our lives together in spiritual discussion and prayer. All, including kids, are welcome for a time of connecting and fellowship!

We will meet twice a month on Tuesday evenings and build Christian relationships through discussion and prayer centered on personal, family, and church life. We will have a simple potluck dinner along with a devotion, discussion, and prayer.

We plan to fellowship around a meal, discuss the Sunday sermon, and pray together each week we meet. Kids are welcome, so we anticipate plenty of activity!

This is a group open to all ages on Tuesday nights! We will meet to grow spiritually through fostering relationships, praying together, and discussing the sermon or other passages of Scripture. We will share a potluck meal each week, and kids are welcome!

All are welcome each Sunday as we gather after the morning’s Worship Service. We will “brown bag” lunch and fellowship over a meal, prayer, and discussion of the sermon.

Each week we will eat together, spend a lot of time chatting, read and talk through passages of Scripture, pray together, and care for one another. All ages, from infants to adults, are welcome and invited to bring others! Our goal is for our families to grow together in worship of Jesus our Lord.
