Sunday begins a new round of Sunday School classes, each lasting six weeks (until Easter). Here’s a quick summary of each class!

First, Adam Brickner will be leading a survey of the book of Isaiah. One thing you may not know – the gospel of John quotes and references Isaiah a lot! Many of the themes brought up in Isaiah are repeated throughout John, and there are many connections between the two books. Of course Isaiah is a long book, so this class will give some basic structure and summary, and then dive into some more notable passages.

Second, Josh Lewis will be teaching a class called “Parenting Toward a Lasting Faith.” We talked on Sunday that only God can give faith to people who are spiritually dead – salvation is always the work of the Lord. That said, we are still called to do all we can, as parents (and grandparents), to raise up children in the Lord. This class will explore some key contributing factors in raising children who truly believe.

Third, I will be leading a class called “Theology Lab.” The curriculum is not set for this, as the content of the class will be determined by the questions you have. In this class, we will take theological and biblical questions we have and work through them together with our Bibles open. My hope is that we won’t just get answers, but learn how to “do theology” in a way that is biblical and honors the Lord.

Hope to see you Sunday morning!
