Much of what we think we know about angels and demons is more informed by science fiction and fantasy than truth from Scripture. This class will explore what Scripture does and does not say about the reality of angels and demons.

Critical race theory has been a charged topic of conversation in recent years. Some may have never heard of it. Some may think it’s a great evil. Some may think it’s a valuable tool. This class attempts to take a sober and Scriptural look at critical race theory (and critical theories in general).

We may not all know what expressive individualism means, but we all see the ways this mindset is manifested. Our modern world believes we can define determine our own identities, and how everyone else must perceive us. Is this true? What does Scripture have to say? This brief class explores these ideas.

How do we make moral decisions? As Christians, we all want to be driven by Scripture. But applying Scripture is not always straightforward and easy. Our ethical systems will help us make biblical, moral decisions, yet we often don’t even know what our ethical systems are. This class will help develop our ethical thinking as Christians.

The Bible is the most important and influential book in all of human history. More than just a human book, we believe it is the word of God Himself. If Scripture is God’s word, then we must know how to think about it and how to read it. The goal of this class is to grow in our understanding and appreciation of Scripture, which ultimately centers on God’s salvation in Jesus Christ.
