Fall 2021 – Spring 2022
For the Glory of Christ.
For the Growth of His Church.
For the Gospel in Our Community.
And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
242 Groups in Summary
The purpose of 242 Groups is essentially “fellowship around the Word.” They exist for the people of CBC to build relational connections, and invite others into relationships, that are centered on Jesus Christ and the gospel, as revealed in Scripture. They take place at various times and locations, with slightly different emphases. Groups are generally led by a team of elders and deacons. The elder and deacon serving your 242 Group will become your designated elder and deacon for the year ahead. While all of the church and its staff, pastors/elders, deacons, and leaders will seek to serve you at CBC, these elders and deacons will be your designated ministers throughout the year. Also, each group has the standing priority of caring spiritually and physically for the needs of its members. 242 Groups are an essential means by which we care for and love and serve one another! We hope, for your spiritual health and encouragement, that you will belong to a 242 Group this season.
To sign up for a 242 Group, contact Annabel Prieb (email@example.com) or Kathy King (firstname.lastname@example.org) via email, or call the church phone (913.782.9100). Because we want to keep each 242 Group manageable and intimate in relationships, we may limit group size. Register promptly to ensure your preferred option!
See below for 242 Group Options!
Note: If none of these groups fits your schedule, please let us know! Our goal is to provide enough options to meet the needs of every CBC member. And do let us know if you have any questions about any of these groups.
