Fall 2023 – Spring 2024
For the Glory of Christ.
For the Growth of His Church.
For the Gospel in Our Community.
And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
What are 242 Groups?
The purpose of 242 Groups is essentially “fellowship around the Word.” They exist for the people of CBC to build relational connections, new and old, that are centered on Jesus Christ and His Gospel. They take place at various times and locations, with slightly different emphases. Groups are led by faithful members of CBC, and overseen by our elders and deacons. Whichever 242 Group you choose will determine your designated elder and deacon at CBC. While all of the church and its staff, pastors/elders, deacons, and leaders will seek to serve you, these elders and deacons will be tasked specifically to care for you and your family. Also, 242 Groups are the primary contexts in which CBC members care for one another. 242 Groups are an essential means by which we care for and love and serve one another! We hope, for your spiritual health and encouragement, that you will consider belonging to a 242 Group this season.
To sign up for a 242 Group, contact Kathy King (email@example.com) via email, or call the church office (913.782.9100). Because we want to keep each 242 Group manageable and intimate in relationships, we may limit group size. Register soon to ensure your preferred option!
Note: If none of these groups work for your schedule, please let us know! Our goal is to provide enough options to meet the needs of every CBC member. And do let us know if you have any questions about any of these groups.
