Family: My husband Keith and I were married in August of 1980. God has blessed us with three married children (Bethany and Scott, Adam and Ashley, and Ben and Mallory) and a total of 10 terrific grandchildren!
Hobbies: I love animals, gardening, baking, swimming, and a wide variety of crafting activities. In fact, I’ve probably never met a craft I didn’t like.
Favorite Bible Verse: I have two favorite verses. The first is the verse Keith and I chose to represent our commitment to God and each other at our wedding. It is Romans 15:6, “that [we] may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” The other is a verse for me personally. It is Daniel 11:26b, “the people who know their God will display strength and take action.” This speaks to me of how critical it is to study God’s word and engage others in Bible study. We need to know Him so intimately that it will guide our convictions and lead to action.
Favorite Movie(s): There are a lot of movies I enjoy. Lord of the Rings and Marvel movies are some favorites, but I also love some more low-key movies. Searching for Bobby Fischer always comes to mind as a great movie too.
Favorite Book: I could read the series All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriott over and over and over again. It’s about a country vet in England and is exceptional!
Favorite Food(s): My favorite foods usually include something spicy, but I also crave a comfort meal of roast, mashed potatoes, fresh corn, home grown tomatoes, and homemade rolls like Mom used to make.
Other notable/fun facts: I’ve lived in Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, and of course, Kansas. |
