Last summer as we were in our Proverbs sermon series, we spent some time one Sunday on the topic of sexual immorality. It's a big theme in Proverbs, and we'll touch on it again this week in Romans. In that Proverbs sermon, I issued an invitation, that if any man wanted to take steps in freedom from lust/pornography, to get a hold of me. Several reached out, but I want to issue that call again. In the fall, I completed training with a ministry called "Freedom Fight," which helps men and women find freedom from pornography. Having gone through that I feel I now have a somewhat more developed approach for helping others grow in this. At some point relatively soon, I'd like to offer a church-wide training opportunity for those who want either to work on this personally or help others. Before that, I want to send a general invitation to participate in Freedom Fight's "30 Day Challenge" (see link below). This is a one-month challenge that is an introduction to the fuller Freedom Fight program. During these 30 days, you'd do daily study and devotionals with the Freedom Fight material, then participate in a weekly small group check-in with others going through the material. I'm anticipating having one group that will meet once a week starting mid-February. If this is something that interests you, let me know.
