As hinted at by Pastor Russ last week, and as you might notice as you read this, the CBC Weekly looks a bit different this week! Led by Laura’s efforts, we’ve been working to update the CBC Weekly and Sunday Bulletin (something that we’ve actually wanted to do for a couple years). We are updating these because we found there was a lot of unnecessary overlap in information in the two pieces. We also wanted to reduce the size of our Sunday Bulletin, and needed to update the CBC Weekly so that it was more useful and consistently displayed across devices (some had trouble viewing it on their devices in its previous format). So, what’s different? First, the Sunday Bulletin will be condensed to only include information pertaining to that Sunday’s worship service. Liturgy, lyrics, and sermon info will all be included in the bulletin. Everything else will go in the CBC Weekly! Announcements, praises and petitions, the pastor’s note, offering updates, and other helpful links and information will all be in the CBC Weekly. This will be sent out each Thursday as usual, and a few printed copies will also be placed on the Welcome Desk in the entryway. This Sunday, and this Sunday only, it will also be printed and placed in everyone's mailbox. We know most people will prefer only to receive the CBC Weekly digitally (and that saves us on paper and printing!). But if you would like to keep receiving a paper copy in your mailbox, we will provide a mechanism on Sunday for you to communicate that to us! That way, those who want a paper copy can have it each week. We hope this update in our communication is a welcome change, even as some information might be in a slightly different spot than before!
