This Sunday at 5pm is our annual November SoupFest! Each year, around Thanksgiving-time, we gather together for this soup potluck on a Sunday evening, while hearing from someone involved in missions. Since this may be the first SoupFest for a few of you, I wanted to list out some thoughts and hints for a good SoupFest experience!

  • Bring friends and family!
  • Come hungry, and don’t be bashful.
  • Consider bringing a muffin tray to carry/sample multiple soups at once (we may provide some but I can’t promise that yet).
  • We’ll meet in the worship center this year (for which I’m excited), so make sure to transport soup to your table with care and minimal/no spillage.
  • Bring good questions for Nasser al’Qahtani, our speaker who serves as Multiply’s Regional Team Leader for North Africa and the Middle East.
  • Bring an offering for Cody DeRosier, our mission partner who is serving with Nasser and Multiply, and is preparing to be sent to the Middle East.
  • If able, be willing to help setup the worship center when SoupFest concludes.
  • Try to sit at a table with someone you don’t know well, and make a new relationship.
  • Give thanks to all the volunteers and those bringing food to make this fantastic event happen!
  • Pray that our time together will be sweet and profitable and honoring to the Lord!
