A friend of mine is in the process of buying a brand new house.  The house is beautiful, with lots of great design features and attractive materials.  However, regardless of how gorgeous the house may look from the ground up, the house itself is only as good as the foundation upon which it rests.  If the foundation is unstable, the beauty of the features will be lost when the ground shifts.

The same is true when it comes to a life.  We can have all kinds of attractive looking features to our lives.  We can collect beautiful cars, accumulate wonderful recreational toys and amass all kinds of technology and gadgets.  But at the end of the day, our lives are only as sure as the foundation upon which we build.

This truth is clearly revealed through the life of an Old Testament character named Daniel.  When everything around him was falling apart, he stood strong and secure.  Join us here at Community Bible Church beginning April 27, 2008 as we explore the foundations of his life.  We will see not only how he managed to survive tough times, but how he actually thrived in the days of evil.
